Aussie Mozzie

The Aussie Mozzie Tennis programme is made up of 4 levels conducted over a 32 week period, with 8 sessions per term.

  • Level 1: Modified Fundamental Motor Skills and Stroke Development (Term 1)
  • Level 2: Modified Playing Scenarios (Term 2)
  • Level 3: Modified Ball Control Skills (Term 3)
  • Level 4: Modified Match Play (Term 4)

Loads of exciting, interactive games focusing on the fundamentals of the sport will ensure your child's first experience with tennis is a positive one.

The smaller court size together with user friendly mini racquets and mini nets help kids learn the skills in a fun and supportive way.

A variety of HEAD low compression balls are used throughout the programme including HEAD’s recently released T.I.P range. Low compression balls travel more slowly through the air, bounce lower, and are softer and safer to make it easier for our little tennis players.

Please note the above programme may vary from centre to centre so check with your local coach/centre. Click here to find a coach/centre near you.

The Benefits

So many young kids are not exposed to the very important ‘universal ball skills’ until it is almost too late. Rolling, throwing, catching, stopping, eye-tracking etc, are so critical to kids in all ball sports, not only in preparation for a sporting future, but for basic co-ordination and self esteem in their day to day activities. We live in the age of computers, Nintendo and Playstation. Do you want your child to be sedentary at age 8?

A common statement from parents is “my child is not ready to play tennis because he/she can’t hit the ball”. Our philosophy and experience tells us that the less co-ordinated your child is the earlier they need to be introduced to basic ball skills. The older they get without intervention, the less likely they will develop the confidence to go onto a court. We may lose them to tennis before they start.

"Aussie Mozzie is a fantatsic programme and was the ideal way for my kids to get into tennis", a satisfied tennis parent.
